Capturing life in aquarelle, pencil, and pastel has become central to Alicja’s artistic practice, though her journey began much earlier. From a young age, she was fascinated by plants, trees, and landscapes, spending hours observing the natural world. By eleven, she had already completed a striking 50x70 cm pencil portrait of her father ~ an early sign of her talent, dedication, and ability to capture likeness and emotion. Throughout her youth, Alicja continued to explore drawing and painting while pursuing her architectural studies. Pencil and pastel became the foundations of her expression, sharpening her eye for proportion, depth, and detail, and allowing her to depict people, animals, and landscapes with her own distinctive voice.

About ten years ago, she embraced aquarelle, discovering the fluidity, lightness, and expressive possibilities of watercolor. This medium added depth and vibrancy to her work, complementing the structure and precision of pencil and pastel with softness & spontaneity. Today, aquarelle sits alongside her earlier techniques as a vital part of her artistic language, expanding the versatility of her portfolio. Constantly evolving, Alicja continues to refine her skills, capturing life with remarkable sensitivity and infusing every piece with her enduring love of color, nature, animals & people.
