Limited Edition Prints °
Few works of Artona are available in Limited Editions of Giclée Prints. This is a special technique of scanning and printing artworks, which allows to scan in a very high resolution and print with 12 carriages of ink. That gives an amazing feel of original Artwork, as the colors and tones are perfectly matched with original piece. Limited edition prints of Alicja's paintings are printed on high quality Hahnemühle PhotoRag ultra Smooth Certified paper 305grams,100% cotton with hight quality archival pigment (with longevity over 100 years). These print are offering museum quality (approved by museums) of printed works, with a guarantee for light fastening. Every print has Certificaat of quality, is numbered and signed personally by Alicja. Artworks marked with are Award Winners and Nominees. You can read more about them here. Prints are sent and shipped flat or in roll, when the size is bigger, all carefully packed in. None of them are framed.

Artona specializes in creating personalized paintings and drawings, allowing clients to choose the size, technique, and subject matter. The artwork can be created using watercolor paint, with pencil, ink, soft pastel or mixed media. Additionally, framing services are available upon request. Contact Artona via phone or email to order a portrait. In order to do so, define you vision first. • Determine the Subject of the portrait (individual, family, pet) and the botanical elements (specific flowers or plants) • Choose the Medium (aquarelle, soft pastels, graphic pencils, coloured pencils, charcoal, mixed techniques ~ combination of mentioned mediums for example aquarelle with coloured pencils) • Specify the Dimensions of the artwork

2024 Artona wins Honorable Mention Award
In July 2024 Aquarelle painting "Jim" has won Honorable Mention Award in the 5th Annual Women in Watercolor International Juried Competition held in USA in the PORTRAIT & FIGURE category. "With over 1970 submissions from 62 countries, it definitely represents the best of the best!"
Alicja creates portraits by painting from a photo. She uses the photo as a reference to sketch the initial impressions and proportions, but the portrait is not an exact copy of the photo. Instead, Alicja adds her own unique interpretation by selecting a color palette that enhances the mood, expression, and age of the subject. This results in a portrait that is full of life, character, and vibrant features that are often missing in photographs. Additionally, Artona offers framing options for the portraits.

Alicja specializes in creating watercolor portraits, specifically aquarelle portraits. This type of paint is challenging due to its defining feature of transparency, which allows the color beneath to shine through when working in layers. Achieving vibrant tones requires careful color selection and mixing, as white cannot cover other colors due to its transparency. Alicja offers two types of portraits: monochrome and full color, with the latter being more complex and expensive due to the unique mixture of colors required. Alicja provides a try-out pallet for full color portraits and advises on color selection for monochrome portraits.
