Behind Artona is Alicja ~ Artist, Mentor, and Creative Guide. Alicja is a professional artist whose path has been shaped by decades of working in creative fields where colour, perception, and observation play a central role. With a background in architecture, interior design, and fine art, she blends technical knowledge with artistic intuition, helping others not only learn how to draw or paint, but how to truly see. What makes her approach unique is the combination of an experienced mind, sharp artistic vision, and a warm, human way of teaching. She meets each student where they are, guiding them forward with personal attention and deep respect for individual pace and expression. Alicja believes that art can shape the way we live ~ that when we allow it, it becomes more than a skill or a hobby: it becomes a way of seeing the world and ourselves.
Through Artona, she offers the space and structure for you to embark on your own creative journey ~ one that leads not only to new techniques, but to discovering your Unique Self through art.

These artworks were created by students during individual lessons at Artona, where the learning process is deeply personal and guided step by step. Through techniques such as graphite, ink, watercolour, gouache and mixed media, students don’t just practice ~ they transform. They move from hesitation to clarity, from skill-building to self-discovery, developing not only artistic technique but a growing sense of confidence and creative identity. Over ten years of teaching, painting and continuous discovery have shaped a way of learning that is anything but ordinary. Alicja shares her own hard-won insights, techniques and breakthroughs: the kind that only come from years of deep personal practice — guiding each student toward realistic drawing and painting in a way that is remarkably efficient.
The methods taught here are not from a textbook. They are the result of Alicja's own artistic journey, refined into a clear and effective approach that helps students see real progress, fast. Many arrive unsure of where to begin and leave surprised by what their hands are capable of. But it goes beyond technique. Alicja teaches you how to truly see ~ to observe, analyse and translate the world around you onto paper or canvas. This shift in perception is what allows students to eventually paint their own subjects independently, at home, with confidence and their own creative voice. Every individual class is built entirely around you ~ your level, your goals, your pace ~ with the kind of focused, personal attention that makes the difference between struggling alone and truly understanding.
For those unable to attend in person, Alicja also offers online art consultancy and feedback sessions: a flexible way to receive her guidance and keep your practice moving forward, wherever you are. Availability is intentionally kept limited, so that each student receives the depth of guidance this format deserves.

Duo lessons for shared inspiration
Next to individual classes, Artona also offers Duo Lessons for those who enjoy learning alongside others. Although shared, the guidance remains personal ~ each participant follows their own drawing or painting program tailored to their level, interests and pace. Duo Lessons bring a gentle social aspect into the learning process while preserving the depth of individual attention. These sessions can take place with two or up to three students, allowing for a small, focused group dynamic while maintaining quality guidance. This format also comes at a more accessible rate than individual lessons, making it a warm and supportive alternative when the individual schedule is fully booked.
